Celia Douglas is a poet and spoken word artist from Northridge, California. Celia hopes to inspire people to express themselves through poetry, and to travel the world performing spoken word. Celia earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English at Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina, [in 2018]. She has hosted and organized various open mics and events [in] her community. Celia has been a mental health advocate since her diagnoses [sic] of bipolar disorder in 2016. She uses her poetry to express herself and hopes by sharing her story she can encourage people to seek help. Currently, Celia is living in London, United Kingdom working on her Masters in Creative Writing and Education at University of London, Goldsmiths. Celia hopes to inspire people to not only see the possibility for change in the world, but to be the change.
